The Mahatma Gandhi NREGA aims to enhance livelihood security in rural areas by providing at least 100 days of guaranteed wage employment in every financial year to every rural household whose adult members volunteer to do unskilled manual work.

The Mahatma Gandhi NREGA Act, 2005 was notified on 7th September 2005 . 

The Mahatma Gandhi NREGA Act came into force on 2nd February, 2006. 

Our Training Institute is responsible to trained up P&RD Govt Officials along with elected PRI members of GP,AP and ZP Level on the Mahatma Gandhi NREGA Scheme Guidelines, new circular that is published by time to time, new initiatives taken by every Financial Year by the Ministry,New website and Mobile Application developed by Ministry under Mahatma Gandhi NREGA Scheme/Act to attain greater administrative efficiency and transparency. Uplifting innovative practices under Mahatma Gandhi NREGA Scheme/Act  for better outreach and support to the PRI Members.

Key Components/Features

  • Right to a Job Card
  • Right to Demand and Receive work within 15 Days
  • Right to Unemployment Allowance
  • Right to Plan and Prepare a Shelf of Projects
  • Right to worksite facilities
  • Right to notified wage rate and right to receive wages within 15 days
  • Right to conduct Social Audit of all Mahatma Gandhi NREGA expenditure
  • At least one third beneficiaries shall be women who have registered and requested work under the scheme.
  • 60:40 wage and material ratio to be maintained
  • The central government bears 100% wage cost of unskilled manual labour and 75 percent of the material cost including the wages of skilled and semi-skilled workers.
