Extension Training Centre, Lichubari, Jorhat

 Extension Training Centre, Lichubari, Jorhat was established in the name of Composite Training Centre, Jorhat under Panchayat and Rural Development Department, Assam on 01-08-1971 vide govt. notification no. PDB2/60/396 dt. 07-10-1971 to cater the mandate training need and services of the department in specified zone of Assam.

 Extension Training Centre, Jorhat has come in subordination to State Institute of Rural Development, Assam from 01-04-1990 and functional control under SIRD, Assam from 02-06-1998 vide notification no. RDD.63/90/52 dt. 26-10-1990 and RDD 448/97/62 dt 02-06-1998 respectively.

 Since inception, Extension Training Centre, Jorhat has been conducted number of Orientation, Awareness, Refresher, IEC, Skill Development training programme for PRI representatives and functionaries, officials of Panchayat & RD and line departments, SHG, JLG, Rural Youth and Women, etc. of Jorhat, Golaghat and Majuli districts. To carry out these programme it has a team of highly qualified and experienced both internal and external faculties besides a skilled supporting staff with adequate office equipments and internet connection.
