The Extension Centre, SIPRD, Abhayapuri, was established on 01/05/2002 as per the approval of the Govt. of Assam. The Centre located at Abhayapuri, 20 Km way from District head quarter Bongaigaon. The Centre has well defined road and rail line connection to its neighboring district. 

 The jurisdiction area of the extension center covers Bongaigaon, Dhubri and South Salmara Mankachar district of Assam.

Since its inception the extension Centre has been catering to the training needs of functionaries of PRIs and Elected Representative of PRIs under its jurisdiction districts.
