Extension Centre, Amoni

Training is an important part for the success of any planned development intervention. In case of multi-sectoral and multi-dimensional rural development programmes it is more than that. To decentralise the training process in Panchayat and rural development sector GBSIPRD (Golap Borbora State Institute of Panchayat & Rural Development), Assam has formed (12) twelve extension centers in different parts of Assam and ETC, GBSIPRD, Amoni is one of them. It was established in the year of 2006 for imparting training to Block, GP and VDC level officials, PRI Representatives, VDC Representatives, NGO/CBO Members, SHG, Members etc covering four districts (Nagaon, Hojai, Karbi Anglong and west Karbi Anglong) in the broad field of rural development and Panchayati raj.
