District Panchayat Resource Centre (DPRC), Bilasipara
The District Panchayat Resource Centre (DPRC), Bilasipara, Dhubri, was established on 25th May 2018. The foundation was laid by the Hon’ble Minister of Panchayat and Rural Development, Government of Assam, Sri Noba Doley. The DPRC, Bilasipara, Dhubri, became fully functional in 2023. Since then, the centre has been serving as the training hub for Dhubri district under the aegis of the Golap Borbora State Institute of Panchayat and Rural Development (GBSIPRD), Assam.
From its inception, the centre has been organizing various training programmes with the support of the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, the Ministry of Rural Development, and the Government of Assam. These programmes include training for representatives of the three-tier Panchayati Raj Institutions, specialized courses for officials of the Panchayat and Rural Development Department, officials of line departments, representatives of CBOs, NGOs, SHGs, as well as members of the rural community of Dhubri district.
At present, the centre is providing capacity-building training to the representatives and functionaries of 128 Gaon Panchayats and 10 Anchalik (Block) Panchayats.
